General Conditions
Enrolment in any of our courses automatically acknowledges the acceptance of the following General Conditions, either directly with the school or with our agencies and affiliates of the Escuela Mediterraneo.
Price
The price includes the course, accommodation, certificates, free activities, Insurance for Civil Responsibility and Accidents.
Prices don’t include: optional excursions, school material, books and official exam fees for the D.E.L.E.
Enrolment
You are able to enrol by telephone, mail, fax, or through our agencies and affiliates in your country. Once we have received your enrolment form, we will send you confirmation of the course and the accommodation chosen.
Deposit
Once you have received our confirmation of the course and the accommodation, you must send a money transfer of €90 to our bank account (only students who enrol directly in our school), as a deposit:

Method of Payments
The remaining payment can be paid at the school during the first week either in cash or by credit card. In case of payment by credit card, a 3% fee will be made for bank charges. Another option is to send a complete payment via money transfer to our bank account. In this case we will need to receive a copy of the transfer payment and this payment needs to include the cost of the bank charges.
Cancellation
It is possible to make a cancellation via fax, email or certified mail. If the cancellation is received within three weeks prior to the start date of the course, we will refund the deposit minus 20% for administration costs. If the course or accommodation is cancelled after it has begun, there will be no reimbursment.
Accommodation
The accommodation will be available from 12:00pm the day before the beginning of the course, until 12:00pm on the final day of the course. Family or residence accommodation includes room and board, generally other services such as laundry are paid separately. Escuela Mediterráneo reserves the right to change accommodation from a double room to a single room, when necessary. The school will charge extra for cleaning, electricity or broken appliances, where applicable, due to misuse by the student. Students need to bring their own sheets and towels.
School employees are free to inspect the apartments at any time, to check proper usage and compliance of the rules, (e.g. people living in the accommodation who are not students of the school, without permission and knowledge on behalf of the school). If any serious breach (according to the school management) is discovered all students in the accommodation in question shall be fined, which will be 2 weeks’ rent for the person, in the case he isn’t a student, between all members of the apartment, or in other cases leave the apartment one night before what was arranged in the enrolment.
Group Formation
The minimum group size will consist of three students. In case there is not a minimum number of 3 students, Mediterraneo reserves the right to reduce the hours of the group as follows:
- If there are 2 students, the 4 daily classes will be reduced to 3 daily classes. 6 daily classes will be reduced to 4 daily classes.
- If there is only 1 student, the 4 daily classes will be reduced to 2 daily classes. 6 daily classes will be reduced to 3 daily classes.
Holidays
On the bank, national, county or local holidays that are shown on the web page, there will be no classes. Students cannot request money back or change a festival day for a working day.
If in a week there are two holidays, on one of them there will be a class but not on the other.
Minimum Age
The minimum age to participate is 16 years old. There is no maximum age limit. In the case that there is a group of students accompanied by a tutor, there is no age limit.
In the case of students less than 16, they can participatet in our courses and accommodation, if and when they have permission from their tutor.
Groups for activities
The minimum number for group activities is 3. For other activities, e.g. excursions to other cities, where third party services are contracted, it will depend on their conditions.
Expulsion
Mediterraneo reserves the right to expel a student if his/her behaviour causes disturbance in class or in the accommodation.
Insurance
The school recommends that students have fully comprehensive international health and travel insurance. For students who are members of the European Community, it is necessary to get an E-111 form. The school is able to handle this paperwork and to complete any medical insurance for students who are not members of the European Community.
Mediterraneo School reserves the right to change or to modify the content of these General Conditions without notice. In the case of the cancellation of any course by the school, the student will be fully reimbursed.
