Levels

Levels

On the first day of the course you will take a short level test, to insert you in the group that best matches your knowledge.
The levels that we follow in our school are those set out by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, set out by the European Board, in line with the criteria established by the Cervantes Institute and the European Association of Certified Organisations for Linguistic Competence (ALTE). These levels are, along with their correspondence with the official exams of Cervantes Institute:

Within these criteria we have established nine main levels. Here we give you a description of the Spanish knowledge you need to have to take part at each of the levels and the content of the course:

A1

You have very basic or no knowledge of Spanish.

A1 +

You have some basic knowledge of both grammar and vocabulary and are able to hold basic conversations.

A2

You can use Spanish in everyday situations and are able to hold brief conversations on these themes.

A2 +

You can now express yourself in the present tense and about your experiences in the past, although with some mistakes, and speak about the future.

B1

You can now comunícate with some confidence and take part in conversations about daily life. In this level, you will study some basic subjunctive structures.

B1 +

You can speak with fluency and spontaneity and write texts that link well. Among other grammatical aspects, you will continue with the subjunctive structures.

B2

You can take part quite naturally in conversations with Spanish people, although about common issues. You will complete the grammar necessary for the official corresponding exam.

C1

In this level your understanding and ability to communicate is very high. You will extend your vocabulary and study Spanish expressions and turns of phrase. In grammar, you will study in depth the structures that are most complicated and can present the most difficulties.

C2

You can speak in the different Spanish registers, using Spanish turns of phrase. In this level you look for perfection and/or the preparation for the official exams.
