Levels
The first day of the course you’ll be given a level test, both oral and written, in order to place you in a suitable group according to your knowledge.
The levels we use in our school are those established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, established by the European Council, according to thhe criteria establishedby the Cervantes Institute and the European Association of Examining Bodies for Linguístic Competency (ALTE). These levels, together with its corresponding official examinations of the Cervantes Institute, are:

Within these criteria, we have established new main levels. Here we present a description of the knowledge of Spanish necessary to be to be included in each of the levels and the contents of the course:

No knowledge of Spanish or very basic. |

Some basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, ability to hold basic exchanges. |

Can converse in everyday situations, ability to hiold brief conversations about such topics |

Ability to use present and past experiences, although with errors, and talk of the future |
|
Ability to communicate with enough confidence and participate in conversations on daily life. At this level some basic sublunctive structures will be covered. |
|
Ability to speak fluently and spontaneously and write well structured texts. Amobg other elements of Spanish grammar, subjunctive structires will also be covered. |
|
Ability to take part in conversation with native speakers quite normally, although on relatively familiar topics. Necessary grammar for the corresponding official exam preparation is completed. |

At this level capacity of communication and comprehension is now very high. You shall extend your vocabulary and study Spanish expressions and phrases. In grammar, you shall study more complex structures in depth and those that pose more difficulty. |
|
Abilty to use different registers of Spanish, using colloquial expressions of the spoken language. At this level focus is on perfecting and/or official exam preparation. |
